The Sidney Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, May 29, 2017 in observance of Memorial Day.
The Selectboard will meet on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 beginning at 6:30 pm and the Code Enforcement Officer will be in his office from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Sidney Will Hold A Ceremony And Parade on Memorial Day:
The parade will begin at Transfer Station Drive at 10 am and end with a ceremony at the Town Hall on the Middle Road. This entire event will last approximately one hour and will feature antique cars in the parade, marching veterans (any veteran is welcome to join!), a bag piper, and Minuteman reenactors, along with local children. Boy Scouts will be hosting a BBQ after the ceremony at the Town Hall parking lot.
RSU#18 will hold the 2017 Budget Referendum and the State of Maine will hold a Bond Issue VOTE on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Polls for Sidney voters will open at 8:00 am and close at 8:00 pm at the Sidney Town Office (2986 Middle Road, Sidney). Absentee Ballots must be requested by 4:30 pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
A FREE Electronic Waste Collection Event will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 9am-2pm (or until full capacity) at the American Legion Post #5, 21 College Avenue, Waterville, ME 04901.
